At Monastero del Silenzio, every coffee bean is a celebration of life and our passion for quality. Our mission is to prepare the best coffee, which brings joy and comfort to the homes of those who choose us. The story of our coffee begins in the silent heart of the Mugello mountains, where the art of roasting merges with the spirituality of an ancient monastery.
The Beginning of Our Adventure
Deep in the Mugello mountains, a desire to support our community and restore our monastery led us down a unique path: coffee roasting . Working with Maurizio, a master roaster with over 40 years of experience , we transformed the monastery kitchen into a roasting lab. From these humble beginnings was born Torrefazione del Monastero del Silenzio, an extraordinary and mystical coffee company.
Our Natural Sanctuary
The mountains surrounding our monastery provide not only a spiritual refuge, but also the inspiration for our coffee . The aroma of coffee blends with the rustling of antelopes and the singing of blackbirds, creating an atmosphere of peace and natural beauty. This serene environment and the orange light of dawn on the mountain peaks are our daily source of inspiration.
Our Daily Routine
Every morning, following our morning prayers, we head to the roastery, the beating heart of our commitment. Here, under the expert guidance of Maurizio, we transform selected beans into exceptional coffees . Our elevated position at 650 meters above sea level amplifies our ability to roast beans to perfection, making every cup of coffee a divine experience.
